Alamo Village
Visitors come to Del Rio from all over the
world to see the cave art at nearby Seminole Canyon and Devil's
River Ranch State Parks. Also nearby is Brackettville and
Fort Clark, the infamous Cavalry Post, as well as
Alamo Village, "Movie Capitol of Texas"... being the second
largest active outdoor movie set in the USA, where famous movies
like John Wayne's "Alamo!" were are filmed.

Within easy walking distance of the home is
the
Whitehead Memorial Museum (resting place of the famed
Judge Roy Bean, only
Law west of the Pecos), Brown Plaza, several parks and wooded
neighborhoods, and of course downtown Del Rio, where you can
stroll around leisurely, shop or catch a play at the Paul Poag
Theatre. For an exotic shopping and entertainment experience,
take the 3 minute drive to the International Border on the
stunning Rio Grande and cross over to the fascinating
city of
Acuña.

Just a short drive uptown will lead you to
other avenues of entertainment and shopping, including the Plaza
Del Sol Mall, La Villita Shopping Center, AMC Movies 8, and many
restaurants.
