Map

The intersection of Veterans Blvd. and Gibbs is Del Rio's principal intersection of Hwys. 90 and 277. At that intersection there will be a large H.E.B. food store on the northeast corner.

From that intersection, you can go north to continue on to West Texas on Hwy 90 West...as well as north towards San Angelo on Hwy 277. From that intersection you can go west on the loop road to Ciudad Acuņa. From there you can go also go east to San Antonio on Hwy 90 East as well as southeast to Eagle Pass on Hwy 277. Also from there you can go south to Historic South Del Rio where Villa Del Rio is.

Thus, from that point...the intersection of Veterans and Gibbs...you want to go south. When you do, you will immediately go over the railroad overpass (bridge). At the bottom or south end of the overpass, you can go either left or right. You don't want to go left...but...stay in the left hand lane...and do go right...west. That's onto Garfield Street...but you won't have a chance to even see a street name. Don't worry.

So, at the bottom of the overpass you go right...one short block to the first stop light. You want to be in the left hand lane there also...and turn left at the stop light...onto Pecan Street. You probably won't have a chance to read that sign name either. Still...not to worry. Most of us around here don't know the street names anyway.

Now you're heading south again...on Pecan Street. Essentially, you're going to go 3/4 of a mile to get to the Villa. In that 3/4 of a mile, you will go through three stop lights and two stop signs. . But...here's a few land marks in between.

You'll go past Pecan Street Station, the old court house and the old H.E.B...all on your left. After passing H.E.B., you'll go through the third stop light. You will then go 1/4 mile to a stop sign. Go through that stop sign another 1/4 mile to another stop sign.

At the second stop sign, Pecan Street angles to the left slightly and becomes Hudson Drive. Villa Del Rio is the 5th home on the right...123 Hudson Drive.

Please...Please...DO NOT pull in the drive way. Simply park in front on the street by the sign and the wrought iron gate and come to the front door to check in. We'll get you oriented from there.
