mentioned 'ma Crosbys' in his hit song Blame it on Mexico,
Crosby's served its famous Margaritas when cars were just beginning to gain
popularity. Photographs from previous decades line the walls and mariachis
stroll around making this restaurant one of the most traditional and authentic
sites in Ciudad Acuña. The menu is
International and the food is quite good. A word to the wise....please do not
attempt to drink 2 Margaritas.

and they have a wealth of information and resources for the area.

Portal - Hidalgo #250 - (877) 2-56-36 - A nice little
restaurant filled with 'hip' people serving Mexican, American and Pizza. Very
popular.
Lando's Curio Shop - Hidalgo
#290 - (877) 2-52-59 - Parking - Upscale shop with many fascinating items.
Mexican as well as imported spirits. Although bargaining is encouraged in most
shops, Lando's is not one of them.
They sell their merchandise at bargain prices and you will find their staff
quite polite and well educated.
Lando's Restaurant - Hidalgo
#270 - (877) 2-59-75 - Parking - This elegant restaurant could rival top
restaurants found in much larger cities. The International food is excellent and
the service in nothing less than perfect.
La Palapa de Lando's - Guerro
#1190 Sur - (877) 2-39-82 - Free parking - Although a few blocks from the main
street, this restaurant has good food at a good price. Part of the
Lando's
empire, quality is assured although less elegant than
Lando's Restaurant on Hidalgo. The atmosphere is more
colonial than modern which makes it popular with Mexican clientel as well as
tourists and Americans working in Ciudad Acuña.
La Paloma - Hidalgo #190 -
(877) 2-55-79 - A traditional curio shop on the main street selling Mexican
handmade crafts, clothing and many more interesting items.
Pancho's - Hidalgo - (phone
unknown) - Just a block from the International Bridge this shop sells hundreds
of items of interest to tourists including Mexican liquors, jewelry, clothing
and curios. There is also a bar on the premises to quench your thirst.

the Public Library.
